Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use the StampWorth mobile app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
What StampWorth does
StampWorth identifies postage stamps from a photo and gives an estimated market value. Estimates are produced by an automated image-recognition system, quoted in your device's currency, and are informational only.
Valuations are estimates, not appraisals
This is the most important thing on this page. StampWorth is not a licensed appraiser, auction house, or dealer, and an estimate from the app is not a professional appraisal, an offer to buy, or a guarantee of price. Real market value depends on condition, provenance, certification, and what a buyer will pay on the day.
Identification and valuation can be wrong, especially for damaged, repaired, forged, or unusually rare items. Before you buy, sell, insure, or split an inheritance based on a stamp's worth, get an opinion from a qualified philatelic expert. You are responsible for decisions you make using the app.
Subscriptions and billing
- StampWorth Pro is offered as weekly, monthly, and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy.
- Where a free trial is offered, it applies to the yearly plan. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your account is charged.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period.
- Manage or cancel your subscription in your device's account settings — on iOS in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, on Android in Play Store → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their store policies, not by us.
Your content
You keep all rights to the photos you take. You give us permission to process an image only to identify and value the stamp in it. Your collection and photos stay on your device; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Only upload photos you have the right to use, and do not use the app to scan anything unlawful.
Acceptable use
- Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its results as your own valuation service.
- Do not attempt to overload, scrape, or abuse the identification service.
- Do not use the app to mislead someone about what an item is worth.
Availability
The app depends on third-party services and may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued. Features may be added or removed as the app evolves.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, StampWorth is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including financial loss from buying, selling, or insuring a stamp based on an estimate. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, including EU and UK consumer protections.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes. Material changes will appear here with a new "last updated" date.
